I don't know this new 64bit Win yet, but I'm sure it is very similar problem as those old days.
It's just different kind of programing for 16 and 32 and 64 bits.

Is there no option in this new WIN 7 to run programs in compatibility mode to WIN XP ???

its a bit diffent these days x64 can have x32 programs only drivers are the must to be x64 on a x64 OS
on a x32 vista / win 7 you only get "program files" in ur local drive ,
on a x64 vista / win 7 you get "program files" which is where it installs x64 programs and you also get "program files (x86)" which it installs x32 programs

just for some odd reason the update that started this problem just wont work on a x64 vista or win 7 but my idea would be down to it not reconising something in the x64 system files that would be running in say task manager / processes or services or mabey even the reg but this can be fixed when europe finds out the cause just need to give him the time as running a server can be difficult and trying to fix things
